Motherboards

Core of the testbed are nodes. Because of the size, we decided to use mini-ITX form factor motherboards. Generations of ORBIT motherboards:

• Version 1 - Custom made VIA based nodes
• Version 2 - Off-the-shelf VIA based nodes
• Version 3 - Off-the-shelf Intel based nodes
• NetFPGA - Off-the-shelf (NetFPGA) nodes?

Motherboards are housed in the custom made enclosures? and are managed with Chassis Manager. Variety of devices are attached to the nodes.
