    7 This image is the first we use where we adopt debian's default 686 kernel. For this release that is the linux-image-2.6.18-3-686 kernel. This will help with administration of images moving forward. In addition autofs  support has been added to access the source code repository available on /misc/src to assist with saving space on the image. If you want to use sources for compilation you may copy the specific sources you want locally to /usr/src/. For example:
