The Project

Objectives/Applications:

Gather data about the radio spectrum usage in a building.

  • transmitter types
  • frequencies
  • protocols
  • packet destinations
  • likely locations of transmitters

Optimize and identify network usage.

  • collect/analyze spectrum usage
  • predict when frequencies will be open
  • identify unknown devices on the spectrum

Experiment:

12 Variations:

  • 3 Bit Rates (10, 30, 50 mbps)
  • 4 Binary Files (all 0s, all 1s, alternating 01s, random)
